Australia Travel Illustration

Situation: I was tasked with creating a tourist guide asset for Australia.

Task: My goal was to design an engaging and visually appealing asset that reflected the essence of the country for potential travellers.

Action: I conceptualised the design based on my personal experience visiting Australia, combining the theme of travel with its unique fauna by illustrating local animals carrying backpacks or suitcases. I carefully selected a colour palette and typography that conveyed Australia as a rugged yet vibrant destination.

Result: The final asset effectively communicated a playful and recognisable representation of Australia, demonstrating my ability to blend creativity, cultural insight, and design principles into a cohesive visual concept.
The brief requested a route showing a three-month trip, which I included, using a map visual. The client was impressed by my initial concept, the final version of which was approved first time. Not bad for a first attempt!
